We begin with our award-winning Madison Park London Dry Gin, then macerate it with sweet red grapes. It has the rich dark colour of port, the nose and palate reminiscent of a Sloe Gin. The name Cépage connects the elements of wine and vintage to the gin. Each year, the grape varietal may change, making each edition a little different. This product is seasonal.
Distiller’s notes:
Our Madison Park London Dry Gin is batch distilled in Montreal, then macerated with sweet red grapes. The grapes impart their natural sugars, colour and flavour into the gin keeping it all natural. Reminiscent of a Sloe Gin, but less sweet than a liqueur.
Tasting notes:
Aromas of cherry, blackberry jam and earthy botanicals. On the palate, hints of plum, dried cranberries, juniper and pepper.
Pairing notes & cocktail suggestion:
Enjoyed as a digestif on ice with a slice of orange, lemon or lime. Pairs well with an apple pie or “tarte tatin.” Also makes an excellent Negroni or aperitif cocktail by adding soda or Prosecco!
Cépage Spritz: 2 oz Madison Park Cépage Gin, 0.25 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice, 3 oz Prosecco. Garnish with a lemon zest.
